Commander John Bartosiewicz

Position in the Group: Commander

When did you start in AVMRA? April 2003

Military Experience: I served in the U.S. Navy from Feb. 1967— May 1970. I am inactive and was given an Honorable Discharge in 1973.

Rank: PO3 / Petty Officer 3rd Class

Why did you choose to join AVMRA? “I was looking for a Veteran/Military oriented Motorcycle Group to ride with. I met some of the guys from Chapter 1, Indiana in 2001, and then met Keith Muky, the Founder of Chapter 7 in 2002. I joined because the group was involved with assisting Veterans in need, Vets helping Vets.

Vice Commander Mike Rutter

Position in the Group: Vice Commander 2nd Term

When did you start in AVMRA? 2007

Military Experience: 1991 to Present, Joined the service in 1991, Campaign Missions: Desert Storm (1991), Steel Box (1992), Lead Box (1992), Desert Defiance (1992),  Operation Restore Hope (1994), Operation Enduring Freedom, 2008-2009.

Why did you choose to join AVMRA? I joined AVMRA to meet people with the same interests in life, helping Vets. Chapter X has a large number of Associate members that enjoy helping Vets and enjoy each other’s company. Our members go to the extra distance in helpings vets from different era’s.  Our mixer of personalities and ethnic backgrounds allow us to be creative in the type of support we can give to our fellow brothers in arms.

Why did you choose to join AVMRA? “I joined because I wanted to pay tribute to my father who was serving in Iraq at the time.  I wanted to help Veterans out that needed a helping hand. This is my way of serving my country, and that’s helping out the people that made this lifestyle possible for Americans. The United States Military.”

Why did you choose to join AVMRA?  “I choose to become a member after attending rides and events with my husband Bill Siegert who is a member. I thought it could be something ONLY he would be involved in but….after meeting everyone and helping out for a GREAT cause I wanted to become an active member. It has been a great experience helping out AVMRA which supports the military because America would not be free without a VET!”
